The Airfields area

The Airfields area - Hobsonville Point, the Airfields

Hobsonville Point is a peninsula in the northern waters of the Waitematā Harbour, a 20-minute drive northwest of Auckland's CBD. A master-planned community is being developed here over a decade overseen by Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities ; it will ultimately have 4500 homes and a population of about 11,000.

The Airfields is in the northern tip of Hobsonville Point and was formerly part of the Hobsonville air force base. It’s divided into six sections, known as megalots.

At the Airfields, about 14ha of the total 20ha is being developed into homes, with different housing types providing choice for a diverse community. Up to 6ha is proposed for an area of mixed uses with employment opportunities
