Panuku Development Auckland Chair Adrienne Young-Cooper announced today that Roger MacDonald has resigned as Chief Executive and will leave the organisation in mid-November.

Mrs Young-Cooper says that during Mr MacDonald‘s tenure Panuku had made significant progress on numerous regeneration projects across the Auckland region.

“Roger’s experience delivering sustainable mixed-use development has been a considerable asset to Panuku as we continue to enable the growth of thriving centres across Tāmaki Makaurau including Manukau, Northcote and Onehunga,” says Mrs Young-Cooper.

Mrs Young-Cooper says Panuku’s recent performance against the targets set out in the statement of intent was strong.

“Our management of Auckland Council’s $3 billion property portfolio continues to generate good returns for all Aucklanders, while also ensuring we have the land and resources necessary to realise our current and future economic, social and environmental goals. In addition, we have generated in excess of $230 million worth of disposals, on behalf of Auckland Council.

“In the year ahead, building accessible, affordable town centres in collaboration with mana whenua, our communities and other stakeholders is Panuku’s priority.”

“I thank Roger for his valuable service to Panuku since late 2016 and wish him all the best in his next endeavours.”
