Hobsonville Point wastewater pump station

  • Hobsonville Point, The Airfields
  • In Progress

The Airfields area in Hobsonville Point needs another wastewater pump station so that this thriving community can continue to grow.

This new pump station will futureproof Hobsonville Point so that capacity isn’t an issue.

About the project

We are working on a project to improve wastewater capacity at Onekiritea Hobsonville Point, enabling much-needed housing to be delivered in the coming years.

As the last vacant sites in Hobsonville Point are sold and developed, there will be increasing pressure on the existing wastewater network. It is vital to futureproof the network for the expected growth in the area, and easier to do this now before the building of new homes gets underway.

The work will involve the construction of a new wastewater pumping station and a connecting pipe (a rising main) to join the new pump station to the existing wastewater network.

We look forward to sharing more information about the project as it progresses.

We are working closely with Kāinga Ora, Watercare and Auckland Council on this project.

Where will the pump station be?

The new pump station will sit on the edge of a reserve just off Bomb Point Drive. It will be fenced-off and landscaped, minimising visual impact.
