The Government Property Group’s (GPG) recently issued an advance notice for the Auckland Accommodation Project – Manukau Hub on the New Zealand Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS gets.govt.nz). The GETS identification number for the notice is 21973508. The notice confirmed that the Registration of Interest (ROI) setting out the details of GPG’s requirements will be released on GETS in February 2020.

In response to the notice, Panuku Development Auckland is making 31-33 Manukau Station Road Manukau (the site), available to tenderers responding to the GPG’s ROI for the Auckland Accommodation Project – Manukau Hub.

Panuku Development Auckland has prepared an Information Memorandum for the site which is available to tenderers on request (refer to contact details at the end of this listing). The Information Memorandum outlines the proposed Key Terms of the Sales & Purchase Agreement as well as containing a detailed physical description of the site and planning framework.

The Site

31-33 Manukau Station Road is a highly attractive commercial development site. The circa 5,569m2 site is zoned Metropolitan Centre under the Unitary Plan. The site can accommodate multiple towers up to 72 metres in height.

The site is exceptionally located in the heart of Manukau civic centre, bounded by Auckland Council Offices, Manukau Institute of Technology and the Manukau Police Station. The site adjoins the main bus station on Putney Way and is located opposite Manukau Station. The site is also perfectly placed to leverage the proximity to the proposed Airport to Botany Rapid Transit Network & the urban renewal already underway in Central Manukau.

The Opportunity

Central Manukau is developing as the thriving heart and soul of the south, and one of three Auckland centres outside the city centre prioritised for growth through to 2050.
